Diego Salama is a dedicated professional with strong international relations, history, and strategic planning background. He is the Partnerships & Liaison Specialist at the United Nations University. In this role, he is vital in supporting the Director by managing strategic partnerships, overseeing programs and projects, and facilitating interactions with the UN System. Additionally, Diego plays a crucial role in institutional governance and reports to the UNU Council and the host country.

Beyond his professional achievements, Diego is in the final stages of completing his PhD in the History of International Relations at Leiden University. His doctoral research is centred on the United Nations and its history, specifically focusing on UN Peace Operations in the Middle East. Diego's academic expertise extends to lecturing at Leiden University on the History of International Relations.
