Nino Mirzikashvili is an associate Professor at Ilia State University, School of Natural Science and Medicine. Ms. Mirzikashvili is an Executive Board Member of the Open Society Georgia Foundation and Director of the NGO “Healthcare and Human Rights Research Center.”  Nino is a professional with 20 years of expertise managing multi-sector programs/projects as a direct implementer (Program Manager), a donor consultant, and a public servant. She used to work for multiple international organizations, as well as the Government of Georgia. Nino served as a Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. She has an extensive experience in the healthcare regulation field. Before this position, Ms. Mirzikashvili was head of the Regulation department at the MoLHSA. She was actively involved in the different projects funded by the Open Society Institute, USAID, DFID, Curatio International Foundation, Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC), and others. Currently, she is doing consultancy work for WHO, UNICEF, and other UN agencies

Nino holds MSc degree in Public Health from the University of Warwick, UK, a Diploma in Democracy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK, and Ph.D. degree from Tbilisi State Medical University
