Louisa Namicheishvili
Chief of Party, USAID Agriculture Program
Louisa Namicheishvili, an international development professional with two decades of experience, currently serves as the Chief of Party for the USAID Agriculture Program and CNFA's Country Director in Georgia. In her extensive career, Louisa has designed and executed agricultural development strategies, managed substantial budgets, and supervised teams to ensure successful program implementation.
With over 17 years of dedicated service to CNFA in Georgia, Louisa now leads the $26.8 million USAID Agriculture Program. In this role, she oversees the implementation of key technical components, including a robust grant activity, which includes grants designed to develop agribusiness enterprises, addressing value chain gaps, and financing innovative agricultural projects that contribute to Georgia's sustainable agricultural development.
Prior to her current position, she led the $22.5 million USAID-funded Restoring Efficiency to Agriculture Production project in Georgia and served as Deputy Team Leader for the Rural Economic Development program, supported by the Danish International Development Agency and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
Louisa holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Tbilisi State University in Georgia, underpinning her practical expertise with a strong academic foundation.
