Emil Chireno


Secretary General, United Nations Association of Dominican Republic (UNA-Dominican Republic)

He was appointed by the former President of WFUNA and former President of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernández in 2013 as UNA-DR executive director until 2017. He was elected by the General Assembly of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) as member of the Executive Committee in 2015 and served for 6 years.

Emil holds a master’s in diplomacy and international Relations from the School of Diplomacy at Seton Hall University in New Jersey and an LLM in Public Law from the Salamanca University in Spain. He currently serves as an advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic and on the board of over 10 companies in various industries.
